The 1st book (by far) on my recommendations list - A MUST!

November 8th, 2006 · 3 Comments

I just love books. I read them passionately, simultaneously, non-stop, as many as I can (in various fields) and I learn something new from each one of them. For a long time I shared this passion and knowledge with my clients, helping them develop new point of views, and now it is time to share it with you. On the last days, I had built a list of recommendations, picked out of thousands (that will be updated of course). Doing it was not an easy task, due to my respect to many authors and books.

Only a single book stood out, rising immediately to the top of my list, with no hesitations at all.

Timeless,
Breaking through,
With unlimited wisdom,
A must read for everyone,
Stands out for almost a century,
A landmark in self-development literature,
One of the best selling self-help books of all times,
Moreover, the book that inspires me the most, even on a daily base -

Napoleon Hill’s legendary Think and Grow Rich. Don’t be mistaken - It’s not only about making money. It’s about self development in all areas, containing tools for building yourself in all aspects.

Later on I would like to speak in depth about his 13 principles of success, which in many ways lay the ground to my own philosophies:
1. Desire
2. Faith
3. Auto-suggestion
4. Specialized Knowledge
5. Imagination
6. Organized Planning
7. Decision
8. Persistence
9. The Master Mind
10. The Mystery of Sex Transmutation
11. The Subconscious Mind
12. The Brain
13. The Sixth Sense
… and outwit your Fears.

Do your self a huge favor and start reading it !
If you had not read it yet - go grab a copy (free E-book or here or here or just order a hard copy).

If you already read it - It is certainly worth reading again (and again…).
Start reading it now. I will discuss it with you after you start.

Opher.

[…] Why you ask? So you can blame it on the fact the Google didn’t give the ability to immediately playback videos, or blame it on the fact that Blink didn’t have tags or something right on the beginning. But that’s not it! What all this guys had that was much more powerful than just technology or money was - they had desire, faith, imagination, persistence (key elements in Think and Grow Rich philosophy - recommended reading) and a lot of love to their user community. They didn’t just made a product, they lived their product and always strived  to make the user experience better. Anyway that’s what I believe what made them so big. On the other hand maybe it was just plain luck […]

[…] My last suggestion to you is to read Napoleon Hills’ book Think and Grow Rich. It holds all the steps to getting to what you want. Although Hill refers to wealth, I think that the steps that he wrote down could lead to what ever your heart desires. […]
