I bet you don’t use even 1% of LinkedIn’s potential !

April 4th, 2007 · 4 Comments

LinkedIn is an amazing platform fot networkers. Most of you you must have heard about LinkedIn, and some of you are even among the 9 Million people registered on this site. But unfortunately, only a few use the real potential of it (from business oppurtunities to job searching).

I believe everyone (who wants to excel in networking) should have an in depth acquintance of this tool. Before going over my tips, I recommend the following readings:

  1. Guy Kawasaky’s insights on LinkedIn – usage and profile makeover.
  2. An excellent review and guide for this platform from The Global Human Capital Journal:
  3. LinkedIn course by Rick Upton
  4. LinkedIn power forum - (including great flash tours).

To stay updated I really recommend adding to your RSS Reader some (all?) of this LinkedIn dedicated blogs - LinkedIn Intelligence, My LinkedIn Life, LinkedIn User Manual and LinkedIn Notes.

If you’re intrested to know who are the top linked (in) people on LinkedIn you can visit TopLinked.com.

That’s all for now. Follow the links, and next time we will go over the major rules, in order to master this valuable tool.

Best regards,

Opher.

Something special just for you!

March 20th, 2007 · 2 Comments

This week, my good friend Janet Switzer — income strategist to renowned small businesses like Chicken Soup for the Soul — is announcing the definitive book for those of us who want to create substantial new income in just hours, days or weeks.

It’s called “Instant Income®: Strategies That Bring In the Cash for Small Businesses, Innovative Employees and Occasional Entrepreneurs” — and Janet has over $2,000 worth of bonus gifts in store for you when you purchase the book online during its  initial launch period.

Among the audio programs, courses and ebooks you will find one gift that stands out. One gift that you know that it all alone worth buying the book. This gift is  Brayer Group’ Exclusive Networking - The Art of Giving to Givers 10 week eCourse! And of course you know, that this is my objective opinion (-;

You can read all about the FREE bonus gifts here.

But don’t wait! You must act soon to take advantage of this  outstanding offer. More than $2,000 worth of gifts are waiting for you — yet the Instant Income book costs under $20 when you buy it online. Click here for details.

Of course, the early reviews on this book have been outstanding:

T. Harv Eker said, “You have a choice. You can spend 10 million dollars or 10 lifetimes to learn this rare information..or you can read this book.  Everything you need is in it.”

Sandra in California said, “I took my book to Starbucks on Sunday afternoon about 1:00 and the next thing I knew, it was dark outside, I had notes everywhere and I couldn’t wait to email my assistant with all of the ‘we can do this right now’ ideas!”

Les Brown said, “In just 20 minutes on a Tuesday evening, Janet Switzer gave me a complete strategy for boosting revenues in my company. By Thursday afternoon, we had brought in an extra $332,650. The Instant Income system works so well, the results will take your breath away.”

And those are just a few of the glowing comments!  Not only will business owners benefit from this book, but employees will learn how to substantially boost their paycheck, too.  Janet even includes a step-by-step companion guide, the ‘Instant Income 10-Day Turnaround Program’ for earning urgently needed cash. Remember, Janet has been the income generation specialist to many of the most renowned entrepreneurs in the world — Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Les Brown, Jay Abraham, Yanik Silver and others.

Janet even helps you determine which strategies will earn you the most money — in actual dollars — so you can prioritize which strategies to tackle first. (Her unique online planning tool even produces an entire customized strategy guide for you. Incredible!)

In friendship,

Opher Brayer

Israel is like Texas – only with Hummus!

March 1st, 2007 · 9 Comments

Written by Donna Abraham, MA, RDT, Communications Specialist
Boyer Communications Group, Inc.

Have you ever had the feeling that there is a parallel you, living in a parallel universe, doing things that are parallel to you life? Well, this belief was strengthened for me when I was introduced to another “small but might company” called the Brayer Group.

Our small but mighty company, Boyer Communications Group, (note the similarity – Brayer/Boyer) based in Manhattan, opened a branch of our Communications Training in Israel about 6 months ago. We teach Presentation and Business Writing Skills workshops to companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Pepsi, Hershey, NDS, just to name a few.

A friend of mine had been at a training day given by the Brayer group at her company, and suggested that I get in touch with the Brayer Group for what could be a mutually beneficial business collaboration.

Upon meeting Dan and Maya, I was struck by so many similarities in our companies’ philosophies and goals. We discussed a joint company meeting when my CEO, Brad Boyer, was in Israel about a month later.

Brad and I arrived at the Brayer office after a long day of meetings and running around Israel. You see, it was Brad’s first time visiting Israel, and my goal was for him to fall in love with our “small but mighty country.” He was well on his way, and had been highly impressed by what he had seen and whom he had met up until this point. The Brayer Group was no exception.

After a light dinner, (which as Brad was quickly learning, nothing gets done in Israel without there being food close at hand) we got down to business. Brad set out to show, in a nutshell, how we teach people to organize presentations. We all sat down and hammered out the basis of a presentation, each person working on a topic that was part of their professional or personal agenda. We were highly impressed, though not surprised, at how quickly the Brayer gang produced the presentations in our method, and even though the hour was late, very clever key points were emerging.

Brad BoyerIn the spirit of teaching by example, Brad was writing a presentation on his impressions of Israel – before being there and during. Brad shared with us that though he knew better, he reali zed what a tremendous job the televised media does on scaring people to death and making unfortunate situations magnified to the point of monstrous dimensions, similar to what he had experienced living in New York during 9/11 and having the rest of the world tell him he was crazy for being there. (Don’t I get that everywhere I go in the world when people hear I chose to move back to Israel!)

In his typical wacky way, Brad described how he felt Israelis were very different on their home base rather than elsewhere in the world. “Israelis are like Texans.” He said. “They don’t travel well. At home, what seems charming and fun can seem very out of place anywhere else in the world. So to sum it up, Israel is like Texas – only with Hummus!” We all were quite amused with the analogy.

After the mini-training session, the to brains of the operations, Opher Brayer and Brad, disappeared into Opher’s office for a one-on-one meeting of minds. We practically had to drag them out of there for it was getting late and I knew Brad still had to pack and we had early meetings.

As Brad and I walked out, all he could say was “Wow!” It was quite overwhelming for both of us to se the meeting of parallel universes, and imagine what could happen if these universes shared resources. The world would never be a dull place again, that’s for sure! Much, much more to come…

The TALENT of Business Networking

February 21st, 2007 · 1 Comment

Connecting Business Networking (BNW) is all about the process of building relationships that are based on giving mutual value, especially business (whether direct or indirect), that connects people who have shared business agendas.

Please note that I am not talking about “meeting people” per-se, because the “connecting” domain has gotten a, wrongfully, bad name, due to small talk and “Chachke” networking context.

The key to making a good connection in the business world is placed in understanding our mutual giving and receiving needs. Such a relationship course is hard to achieve, especially when it comes to meeting at the “usual” events, we are all too familiar with (conferences, get-togethers, lectures etc.). Keep reading →
